Undergraduate Student Speaking Contest – MS&T’11
March 4, 2010
Have you held a local speaking contest on campus yet? Each Material Advantage Chapter may conduct speaking contests at the local level to determine who will advance to the National Speaking Contest at MS&T 2011. The Material Advantage Undergraduate Student Speaking Contest is an opportunity for undergraduate students to present technical papers and to improve their presentation skills. Presentations can relate to any aspect of materials science and engineering. The National Contest at MS&T will be held on Sunday, October 16 in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Download rules of procedure and grading sheets to use in judging your local contest. Note that the subject of the presentations for the national contest must be technical. The presentation time should be from six to eight minutes. Your local contest, which must have at least two contestants, should be directed by a faculty member.
All local contest winners must be received by September 23, 2011 to be eligible to participate in the national contest. Use the winner reporting form to report your winners.
