Prepare now for the Material Advantage Fall Membership Challenge. Your chapter could win up to $500.
The Membership Challenge is intended to challenge student members to recruit new Material Advantage Student Members. There are two categories for your chapter to participate in:

Alpha Sigma Mu Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, 18 October, 2010, at 3 p.m. (CST) at the MS&T Meeting in Houston, Texas, USA. The Alpha Sigma Mu Lecture is entitled “The Future of Materials Technology: Design, Failure Analyses & Societal Impact” and will be presented by Dr. Fred E. Schmidt Jr. PE, FASM. Fred is Technical Director-Materials Engineering/Senior Managing Constant, Engineering Systems Inc.
The Material Advantage society partners that belong to the International Organization of Materials, Metals and Minerals Societies (IOMMMS) have organized a World Materials Day award that is available to up to three Material Advantage chapters engaged in outreach to grades K - 12 in their local community. Winning Material Advantage Chapters will each receive a check for $500 and a plaque from IOMMMS.
